Autism Action Group Of Door County

Welcome

"People with goals succeed because they know where they are going. It's as simple as that."-Earl Nightengale

Our purpose is to locate and make accessible a variety of therapies and programs for families with children diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. It is our belief that any child can reach their potential when opportunities are made available.

Autism Society of the Lakeshore/Door County

The Door County Autism Group is composed of parents who want to be pro-active in what the community offers children and adults on the autism spectrum.

The Group came together as a result of shared frustration by families who could not find needed services for their children here in Door County. There are wonderful progrms in our state but they may not reach out to Door County due to our location. We meet regularly to discuss needs as well as invite service providers to present to us what they are offering here in Door County. We were newly formed in October 2004 so we have lots of growth ahead.

If you reside in Door County or are looking to relocate here we invite you to attend a meeting and check out where we've been and where we are going next.

In the fall of 2006 we joined efforts with P.A.T.H. which in another special needs support group that involves all areas of disabilities.  The groups meet the third Thursday of the each month at the Morvian Church, 323 S. 5th Ave., Sturgeon Bay.  Each month features a shared speaker or a parents open forum.  If you would like be join the contact list; email Deb at irishpack@charter.net or Veronica at ministrysbmc@charterinternet.net.
